Welcome to DSST!
|
|
DSST has an open door policy to all visitors. Whether you are from out of town, or live here in San Diego .... you're welcome. |
Visitors from other Teams
Visitors from other teams must have their USMS card (or international equivalent) with them and be prepared to show it to the coach on deck. When you arrive, please introduce yourself to the coach who will help you find a good lane.
Your first visit to the pool is FREE. If you plan on swimming with us for a few days (an extended period), we ask for $40 a month or $10 a workout. If you're swimming 4 or more times with us, you might consider buying a Splash Card which gives you 7 swims for $35. If you join us and pay for 3 months in advance, you can qualify for a discount rate of $30 per month. See our Fees/Dues section for details. Welcome!

New Swimmers to DSST!
We love to have visitors and your first visit is FREE. First, check out our practice schedule and pool locations. Pick a day to swim and just show up. On the day of your visit be sure to check out our calendar for any last minute changes to our schedule.
Once you get to the pool, introduce yourself to a swimmer and have them direct you to the coach on deck who will help you get settled in.
You will be asked to fill out a DSST form and if you are new to swimming and do not have a US Masters Swimming card, we will ask you to fill out a USMS form prior to entering the pool. The coach can supply you with these forms or you can print and fill them out now and bring them with you.
If you like your first workout and want to become a DSST member, please review the Join Us section of our website and complete your registration. After your first visit you will need to mail in your USMS membership form as it provides us with vital insurance coverage. You can not become a member of DSST without an active USMS membership.
Feel free to look over our Swim Tips section which has information on what to bring your first time (swim goggles, swimsuit, towel). DSST welcomes swimmers of all abilities. We have multiple lanes from slow and inexperienced to fast and the coaches adjust workouts to take into account each swimmer's abilities. You don’t need to be able to swim all the strokes either. Swimming is one of the best ways to get and stay in shape. However, we advise you to consult with a physician before engaging in any strenuous physical activity.
For general questions about our team visit About Us or drop us an email at Contact Us. We also suggest you check out our FAQ's section. Welcome!
