New Announcements:
Baby Shower for Misty & Terry Feb. 27
Jason is hosting a baby shower for Misty and Terry on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 2:30pm. Jason and Kent's place is located on 6th Ave, San Diego. Address information is available in the newsletter or call Jason at 817-988-1636. Send Jason an email at jasondlovell@gmail.com if you will attend, so they have a headcount. Come celebrate with Terry and Misty their expected arrival of baby girl Eden. Here is a note from the parents to be: Our registry is under the Baby Target Registry and people may use either Terry or Misty (last name available in the newsletter) to look at the list. People don't necessarily have to only purchase items from the registry. We are doing a Diaper Drawing: those who bring a pack of Diapers (will receive a ticket for each pack that they bring) and will be allowed to choose to put their corresponding ticket into three different drawings, and at the end of the party we will pull the drawing.
2010 Swim Meets Update
For the upcoming year, we would like to get as much participation from DSST swimmers to attend four meets this year, one a quarter. These four meets are:

SUMMER: VIII Gay Games
For those swimmers planning to compete at the Cologne Gay Games this summer, you can register now by visiting the following link http://www.games-cologne.de/ Gay Games VIII will take place July 31 to August 7, 2010 in Cologne, Germany.

DSST Representatives for IGLA
If you're interested in being a representative of DSST at International Gay & Lesbian Aquatics, please reply email Grant at wilsong427@hotmail.com. DSST is permitted to have 2 representatives as part of our annual IGLA team membership renewal. IGLA representatives are encouraged to share IGLA news with the team, and to attend the annual IGLA meeting if possible. The annual meeting usually coincides with the Gay Games or IGLA Championships. This year's meeting likely will coincide with the Cologne Gay Games. However, it's not required that you attend, so please respond if you're interested in representing DSST, even if you won't be going to Cologne.

Queer Utah Aquatics Club Ski and Swim
SKI-n-SWIM: February 12th to February 14th, 2010
The Utah IGLA Team (Queer Utah Aquatic Club - QUAC) is hosting a Ski-n-Swim on February 12-14, 2010. This includes an opening social on Friday, the swim meet and water polo tournament on Saturday, a dessert party on Saturday night, skiing/snowboarding at Snowbird on Sunday, and concluding with a closing social on Sunday night. USMS Membership
DSST members must be registered with USMS for insurance reasons. You can not swim without it. Remember that DSST is part of the "San Diego Swim Masters." After you have renewed your USMS membership, please e-mail your receipt to membership@dsst.org or give your coach a copy of your new card/receipt. Current members list: USMS SD/IM.
